Apronius shared in the achievements of Vibius Postumus and earned the ornaments of a triumph for his distinguished valor in Dalmatian revolt〔Velleius Paterculus, ''Roman History'', II.CXVI〕 and Germanic Wars, along with Aulus Caecina Severus and Gaius Silius in 15 AD.〔Tacitus, ''The Annals'', I.LVVII〕 In the Senate, Apronius in 22 procured a decree of votive offerings should be made, due to the successful prosecution of Libo, who had engaged in subversive plotting against Tiberius.〔Tacit. II.XXXII〕 In 23 Apronius, along with a former proconsul of Africa Lucius Aelius Lamia vouched for innocence of one man, accused of supplying grain to Numidian insurgent Tacfarinas.〔Tacit. IV.XIII〕 However being a proconsul of Africa, Apronius by decimation severely punished the cohort of Legio III Augusta, previously defeated by Tacfarinas.〔Tacit.
